Dr. Mike RaglandDoctor
Dr. Ragland has been a part of the Renew Recovery team since 2014. He graduated from medical school with high distinction and enjoys using those skills to help clients get their lives back on track. Our clients love Dr. Ragland’s caring personality, and helping clients is the absolute best part of his job. He genuinely hopes that the work we do at Renew Recovery is making a positive impact on the opioid crisis. When he is not busy working with clients, Dr. Ragland enjoys going to the gym and spending time with his family.
Dr. Charles NoplisDoctor
Charles Noplis, MD, is a graduate of University of Louisville Medical School. He trained in Psychiatry at the University of Louisville. Dr. Noplis is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist. Noplis is a dedicated psychiatrist with a focus on Addiction medicine. Noplis has extensive experience in private practice, inpatient and outpatient settings. He is currently the Medical Director for Renew Recovery. He is most notably recognized for successfully treating co-occurring psychiatric disorders and substance use disorders. Noplis recently was voted TOP DOC for Kentucky by his peers and patients. Noplis also participates as a SAMSHA MAT mentor.
When asked why he became a psychiatrist, Noplis explained, “The mind is the one human organ that’s always fascinated me, as to how something roughly the size of a football is responsible for all our internal thoughts, which leads to the full range of human emotions, and results in an infinite number of actions. It’s like an entire universe contained inside of our heads.”
Dr. Stephen KronenbergDoctor
Dr. Stephen Kronenberg is a board-certified anesthesiologist and is board certified in addiction medicine. He has been a part of the Renew Recovery team for over 10 years. Dr. Kronenberg knew he wanted to use his skills and knowledge to do something worthwhile, which is why he chose to help clients struggling with addiction, and our clients love him because he takes the time to listen and help in the best way that he can. If you ask Dr. Kronenberg what his favorite part of the job is, he will tell you that it’s seeing patients’ lives get so much better. In addition to the work he is doing at Renew Recovery, he is also Treasurer of the Kentucky Society of Addiction Medicine. During his free time, Dr. Kronenberg enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with his wife and kids.
DinaMarketing & Business Development Representative
Dina started with Renew Recovery in 2018. Dina has worked in the behavioral healthcare field since 2006. During her career she has worked in various roles in marketing and business development, care delivery, alcohol and drug treatment counseling, in-home therapy, individual and group therapist and as a family group facilitator. She has served on the boards of Operation Parent, the Employee Assistance Professionals (EAPA) and Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM). She has been actively involved with Kentucky Lawyers Assistance Program (KLAP), Labor Assistance Professionals (LAP) and the Kentucky Psychiatric Medical Association (KPMA).
Dina is a graduate of the University of Louisville Kent School in 2008 with a Masters in Social Work. She also obtained her Social Work certification license in 2009. Her hobbies are spending time with her husband and children, painting furniture and card making.
Maxine began working as a counselor in 2010 and joined Renew Recovery four years later. She is a licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor and a certified alcohol and drug counselor. She is continuously working to improve her knowledge through continuing education. The best part of her job is seeing all of the positive changes in the lives of her clients as they progress through their recovery journey. It’s like watching someone get their life back. Maxine has learned a lot about opioid addiction since starting at Renew Recovery and is always gaining new information that she hopes benefits her patients. In her time away from the clinic, Maxine enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her pets. She also likes to travel, read, visit music venues, and complete art and home projects.
Stephanie is an LCADC (licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor), a certified BIP (Batterers’ Intervention Program) provider, and a DUI (driving under influence) assessor. She has been a part of our team since 2017. In addition to her certifications, Stephanie has completed courses in suicide prevention and ethics. She loves seeing the ongoing change in people as they begin to recover. In her free time, Stephanie is planning to return to school to become a licensed nurse practitioner. She wants to continue working with clients who are battling addiction. Stephanie is a soccer mom who loves crocheting, making piñatas, and learning a second language!
Shawn joined our team at Renew Recovery in 2018, and he has been working diligently to help our clients thrive in recovery ever since. The best part of his job is knowing that he can make a difference in someone’s life. Shawn continuously seeks opportunities to learn more by taking courses in things like how the brain affects addition, spirituality in recovery, and how to best help patients during therapy. When he is not helping clients beat addiction, Shawn enjoys taking road trips, spending time with family and friends, and finding ways to relax.
Zoe is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who joined our team in 2018. She has been in this field since 2015. Zoe places a high value on staying informed with the latest information. She has completed continuing education courses in suicide prevention, domestic violence, and ethics. Zoe enjoys her job, but the best part is being able to interact with clients every day! During her free time, Zoe likes to take her dog to the park, watch TV, or do water aerobics at her gym.
MeganTherapist/Clinical Services Coordinator
Megan has been with Renew Recovery since 2015. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a trauma modality, and clinical hypnotherapy, which can be used to address trauma or gain insight into negative emotional and behavioral patterns.
Melissa joined the Renew Recovery team in 2016. She has a master’s in education degree and is a national certified counselor (NCC) and licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC). She keeps her training up to date with continuing education courses that range in topics including substance abuse and comorbidity. Melissa has worked with other medication-assisted treatment programs in the past, but she believes that Renew Recovery is the best. Our staff really cares and tries to help clients succeed. The best part of Melissa’s job is seeing a client make progress and rebuild their life. When she’s away from work, Melissa enjoys being at home with her family. She also makes time to read and play video games.
PatrickClinical Services Supervisor
Patrick joined the Renew Recovery team in 2015, but he has been in this profession since 2012. He is a licensed professional clinical counselor and certified rehabilitation counselor. The best part of Patrick’s job is being able to see clients not only become sober but learn how to maintain that sobriety long term so that they improve their overall quality of life. He also enjoys the ability to work with clients in the outpatient setting. Patrick believes this treatment type allows them to make progress and continually work on their recovery goals.
Ralph enjoys working at Renew Recovery because he enjoys helping people. He began working here in 2018 but has been in this field since 2012. He is a licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor, licensed clinical supervisor, international certified alcohol and drug counselor, DUI assessor, and Prime For Life instructor. When he’s not busy helping clients, Ralph enjoys spending time with his family.
Shaquita is a licensed professional counselor associate who began working at Renew Recovery in 2017. She most enjoys her job when she can work with clients through direct care. She likes to guide clients to have a more positive quality of life by helping them understand their disease of addiction, which in turn helps them maintain their sobriety. In her free time, Shaquita loves spending time with her family, camping, watching sports (Go Philadelphia Eagles! Go UK!), watching movies, listening to music, and traveling.
Shari began at Renew Recovery in 2018, but she has been in this field since 2009. She is a licensed professional clinical counselor and also has a master’s degree. She takes continuing education classes and has completed courses in trauma, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), addiction, trauma-focused behavioral cognitive therapy, and women’s issues. The best part of Shari’s job is helping clients and instilling hope in them. In her free time, Shari enjoys going to see live bands and doing media work.
Tivoli, a licensed professional counselor associate, loves her clients and their willingness to open up and be vulnerable. Since beginning at Renew Recovery in 2016, Tivoli has worked to create a space where people feel comfortable and able to beat addiction. She loves that every hour with a client is different and challenging in its own way. When home, Tivoli loves to be out in nature. She enjoys hiking or wandering in the woods. When the weather is nice, you’ll always catch her outside!
